2) iPhone XR
A whole lot of iPhone for your money.
With a great ‘Liquid Retina’ screen and that flawless iPhone X-esque look, it’s hard to find fault with iPhone XR. Yes, this is Apple’s more affordable incarnation of the flagship. But, for most customers, it’s likely to offer enough of a tech punch.
Of course, since the cost isn’t quite as high as that of the iPhone X (or Xs), there has to be something of a trade-off. With the XR, that comes in the form of the camera. It’s a single-lens setup on the back, which pales in comparison to the triple setup Huawei has right now. However, it still does the job and the newest ‘Portrait Mode’ is pretty epic.
As for power, Apple has done a seriously great job here. You’ve got the same A12 Bionic chip as we’ve seen on previous devices. It also has some of the coolest features from the X model, such as wireless charging, a glass back, and AR capabilities.
1) Huawei Mate 20 Pro
A remarkable smartphone with a decent price tag.
Drumroll, please. We have an announcement to make. We’re crowning the Huawei Mate 20 Pro as the best mobile phone you can buy this winter. We love it… and we’re pretty sure that you’re going to as well.
The 6.53-inch full HD and LCD screen is just the start of this device’s majesty. It’s also got a flat (as in not curved!) design that sets it apart from the crowd. Plus, it’s been created to be ‘palm-sized,’ something that a whole load of phablets get wrong.
We could go on about the octa-core Kirin 980 processor or the epic RAM, but what you really need to know about this device is that it has an incredible camera. Yes, you have the triple-lens setup on the back; a 12-megapixel lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens. Plus, there’s a 24-megapixel selfie cam. Nice.
If you’re looking for a phablet that will blow you away in terms of the camera, the power, and the design, you don’t need to look any further. You’ve found it right here.
